WHY SHOULD YOU PLAY?

The Notah Begay III Junior Golf National Championship aims to grow the game of golf by providing a platform for players to compete against the best juniors in the Country in a true, open qualifying series. The National Championship will be televised on Golf Channel in prime time that will be airing over 2 hours of broadcast time that has never been done before. These players will have a chance to be recognized on a platform like no other increasing the chances to #getNOTAHced by college coaches around the country.
 

The National Championship is going to be hosted by Koasati Pines at Coushatta in Kinder, Louisiana. This event will accommodate the top 140 players that advance through their respective Regional with the anticipation of having 7,500+ participants trying to advance through Local and Regional qualifying.

WHO CAN PLAY?

The Notah Begay III Junior Golf National Championship is open to boys and girls ages 8-18 who will compete in one of the four age categories: Boys 14-18; Boys 13 & Under; Girls 14-18; and Girls 13 & Under. 

 

Players can participate in up to (2) Regional Qualifiers. Their age division is determined by their age on the date of the second round of the Regional Qualifier. For example, if you are 13 in your Regional Qualifier and you turn 14 before the Championship, you will play in the 13 & Under Division throughout the Regional and Championship. If you turn 14 on the second day of the Regional Qualifier, then you would play in the 14-18 division throughout the Regional and Championship.

HOW TO QUALIFY?

Due to the COVID-19 outbreak the JGNC Series has been re-formatted. 

 

Players who already registered for a Local Qualifier prior to the COVID-19 outbreak will be automatically transferred to their Regional Qualifying site. Their $139 Local Qualifying entry fee will act as a deposit for their spot at the Regional Qualifier. 

 

Participants may attempt to qualify at a maximum of TWO Regional Qualifiers. Players who attempt to register a third time will not be approved.  

 

Regional Qualifying sites will accept a total of 140 -180 participants on a first-come, first-served basis. The JGNC Committee reserves the right to adjust these totals and the total number of participants per site.

Upon completing the registration process, players will receive an email confirming their registration approval. COMPLETING THE REGISTRATION PROCESS DOES NOT GUARANTEE YOUR SPOT. Players will receive an email within 24 - 48 hours of registration that will confirm entry into the event or confirm a spot on the alternate list. 

*During the registration process, the guardian, parent or player (if 18 years of age) agrees to submit a release of liability form. This constitutes permission to use the competitor’s name and likeness for any necessary reason without compensation*
